Dün akşam günlerdir canımın çektiği yoğurtlu kebabı yaptım. Köfteyi hazırlamak dışında pek bir zahmeti yokmuş. Tarif 4 kişilik. Biz kebap için pide bulamadık ama onun yerine focaccia kullandım. Shish kofte ingredients

  • 1lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion (grated)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 bunch of parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp red pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • salt and pepper

Tomato sauce:

  • 1 cup tomato (diced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Yogurt sauce:

  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1-2 cloves pressed garlic (optional)

Granish:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • red pepper and cayenne pepper

Additional:

  • 4 pides (cut in bite size)
  • 8 green peppers

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the kofte ingredients together with your hands. Take a fist-sized ball and skewer it, starting from the tip of the skewer. Squeeze and flatten it on the skewer going back slowly, so that it is thin and flat. Preheat your barbecue or oven (grill). Place the skewers on the rack. Make sure to turn the skewers so that all sides of the meat cooks equally. Grill the green peppers as well.
  2. Cook the tomato sauce for a few minutes, put aside.
  3. Whisk the yogurt sauce ingredients, put aside.
  4. Place pide pieces on service plates and arrange the kebabs on them. Pour tomato and yogurt sauce all over. Melt the butter in a small pan and add in the pepper. When the the butter starts bubbling, pour over the Yogurtlu Kebab.
  5. Serve with grilled green peppers, onion, and sumca. Bon appetit!
